July General Member Meeting
July 13, 2022, 6:00 p.m.
I. Call to Order
Mike called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
II. Roll Call
Present: Jeff Dowd, Charlene Knox, Mike Mauk, Mike Maltus
III. Old Business:
1. Minutes -- read and approved by unanimous vote.
2. Fourth of July – 12 vendors, $920.00 collected. Only complaint concerned parking in the
vendor area. Next year, vendors must be present before 8 a.m. due to parade route
ending at park. Have gathered great ideas for improving logistics. Stage donated by
Independent Rentals. Entertainment provided by Elania. $250.00 donated by P1FCU.
3. Salmon Derby report – 120 tickets have been sold. Volunteers are all arranged and
scheduled. KOSI will run an ad for the Derby. Maria Gonzalez will be the only vendor but
will be there for the entire event. Still looking for coffee and drink vendors. Northwest
Fishing will present to film the event for later viewing. Mike will verify Wi-Fi signal works
for our leader board. August 5-7 th .
1. American Pickers – they emailed Mike and asked the chamber to help promote their
arrival to film an episode in October.
2. Care Connect – if you have Covid or exposed to Covid AND are isolating, they will donate
food boxes to families and individuals enough to last for 2 weeks.
3. Scholarships -- It is suggested that we research setting up a scholarship for our graduating
students using the Salmon Derby profits. Scholarship for higher education on Marine
biology and Fish and wildlife education. Looking for input and suggestions on how to
move forward with that.

Next meeting is August 13 th at 6:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce Office 109 Bridge
